In this high-octane game, you step into the shoes of Maverick, piloting an F-14 Tomcat fighter jet through four intense missions. Starting with a training run, you’ll take on an enemy aircraft carrier, a base, and even a space shuttle! The game features two endings: achieve a minimum score of 50,000 points, and you’ll get a still shot of Maverick receiving the Top Gun plaque (just like Iceman in the movie). Complete all missions and nail the carrier landing, and you’ll witness a triumphant scene of your F-14 taxiing on deck as Maverick waves to the LSO crew.

The gameplay immerses you in the cockpit, split into two nerve-wracking phases: dogfights and landings. For dogfights, you can choose from three missile types, each with unique targeting capabilities. But the real challenge? Landing that jet! Precision is key as you balance speed and angle, especially during the final approach, viewed from the side of the carrier with the F-14 swooping in from the right.
